"I was desperate for help for my 10 year old because she's failing math and that's a subject that I can't help her with. I prayed for God to send someone that would have patience with her and be able to connect with her and God sent Brishundra McGrier. She's very knowledgeable, kind, loving and most of all extremely patient. What impressed me so very much is that my granddaughter is the type of child that thinks she knows everything but doesn't want you to teach her. Brishundra didn't back off. She asked my granddaughter to tell her how do you accomplish the task and when she couldn't Brishundra showed her how. Brishundra shows her the correct way in a way that she can understand and before she went forth she would have my granddaughter explain what she did and why. I had to walk away from my granddaughter, but thank God Brishundra didn't. She's the best. Brishundra is the best person for tutoring. I had tutoring in math when I was in school and I never had a teacher explain the concepts and the procedure as Brishundra does. Brishundra is the best person for tutoring because she has the patience for the job. We love her." -Charlotte from Waukegan

"You are the best tutor - teacher anyone can have .. you don't sugar coat things and you push your students even if they dont want to be pushed .. you're amazing and truly inspirational! I love you!" -Levetta, student from last year
"Ms. Berry, I thank you so much for helping me this year. Thanks for helping me raise my C from last year to an A this year. You're the best." -Jonathan, student from last year
"Mrs. McGrier had all the good characteristics of a wonderful teacher. She pushed students to want to do their best while at the same time trying to make learning interesting and creative. She always stressed to us how she would be willing to stay after school so she could help us with any concept we were having problems with. I could not have EVER asked for a better 8th grade math teacher. If you didn't understand something she would be constantly drilling it into your head until you did fully understand it. She believed in not having class disruptions by students (I know from experience). If you were stopping another child from learning you would suffer the consequences. Class was always interesting and most of us (her students) came in everyday excited to see what she had in store for the day. Mrs. McGrier's teaching will forever live in me!" "You helped me acheive the 3rd highest math average out of all the pre-algebra classes. You were a very good teacher & made it to where I could understand everything. (: Miss you Mrs. Berry/McGrier! " -Anna, student from first year
"I can honestly say you are the best teacher I ever had. Not only in math, but period. I learned so much in your class, more than I've ever learned in one year. At first we all thought you were just a mean teacher. . but as the year went on and we learned so much. We respected the discipline that you gave us. When we came in your class we knew that we were coming to learn something because you were always serious and stayed on topic. The discipline that you gave us showed us that you really cared. You made us learn... and I can't thank you enough for that. I wish every teacher was like you! We miss you so much." -Dystany, student from last year
"I loved having you as my 8th grade teacher. If I could go back and have you teach me again I would. The one activity that I remember and will never forget were the FOIL method raps. I also know all the numbers from 1 to 25 squared because of your class. I still remember many other things. You were patient and helped us and that is more than what anyone else does. So thank you and I miss you!!" -Lexus, student from second year
